Principal's Message

As the principal of Crescent Elementary, I am honored to work with our dedicated and talented school staff and supportive parent community.   Together, we share a commitment to provide a positive and engaging school climate and culture focused on student achievement, social/emotional well-being, student connectedness and strong character and citizenship for the 21st Century.

Crescent Elementary is a California Gold Ribbon School.   The Gold Ribbon Award recognizes California schools that have made exceptional gains in implementing the academic content and performance standards adopted by the State Board of Education.  These include the California Standards for English Language Arts and Mathematics, California English Language Development Standards, and Next Generation Science Standards.  Crescent School is known for our Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math curriculum (STEAM) along with our Robotics program.  In addition, our students continue to show strong academic growth as measured by the SmarterBalanced assessments (SBAC) and local assessments this spring.  We are proud of the State’s official validation of everyone’s teamwork on behalf of our students.    It is my goal to continue to support and build upon the professional learning community everyone here has worked so hard to achieve.

Here’s to another productive and successful school year!
