Community Day School Expectations

Community Day School is built on the belief that all students can learn when given the appropriate environment, educational expertise, and opportunity. Community Day School will prepare students to successfully return to their comprehensive school setting. The school has developed a student Level System of Behavior. The Levels support the critical academic and behavioral needs of our students. Moreover, Student Levels serve as a system that allows staff and students to measure achievement of our Expected School-Wide Learning Results based on a rubric of evidence. It is a student centered method. In order for a student to qualify to return to their school of residence they must achieve all Expected School-Wide Learning Results and reach a minimum of Level 2 status. The following expectations will support each student in reaching this goal.

  • Will have good attendance.
  • Will not bring to school markers/sharpies, hats, bandanas, beanies, backpacks and purses.
  • Will not bring a cell phone or other electronic device. If I need to bring one, it will be off at all times and not
  • visible while on campus.
  • Will maintain a clean discipline record (no referrals or suspensions) and will not become involved in any
  • behavior that may result in the referral or suspension of any other student.
  • Will not get involved in any bullying, and/or verbal/physical altercations.
  • Will not exhibit defiant and/or disruptive behavior in the classroom. Will not disrupt school activities or
  • willfully defy authority or school personnel.
  • Will not commit an obscene act and/or gesture and/or engage in habitual profanity andjor physical/verbal
  • vulgarity.
  • Will abide by the school's dress code policy.
  • Will not use foul language in the classroom or anywhere on campus.
  • Will not sell, distribute, use, and/or be in possession of any controlled substance at Community Day School.
  • Will not possess, sell or otherwise furnish a firearm, knife, explosive, or other dangerous object.
  • Will not possess an imitation firearm, knife, explosive, or other dangerous object. An "imitation weapon"
  • means a replica that is so substantially similar in physical properties to an existing weapon as to lead a
  • reasonable person to conclude that the replica is a weapon.
  • Will be subject to search when there is reasonable cause.

Any violation of Education Code 48900 will result in one or more of the following:

  • Phone call and/or conference with Parent/Guardian/Probation
  • Behavior Level Adjustment
  • Home Suspension
  • Police Contact
  • Referral to Access

Community Day School se basa en Ia creencia de que todos los estudiantes pueden aprender cuando se les da el entorno adecuado, Ia experiencia educativa, y Ia oportunidad. Community Day School preparara a los estudiantes para regresar con exito a su entorno escolar integral. La escuela ha desarrollado un Sistema de Nivel de estudiante de Ia conducta . Los niveles de soporte a las necesidades academicas y de comportamiento crftico de nuestros estudiantes. Par otra parte, los niveles de los estudiantes sirven como un sistema que permite a los profesores y estudiantes para medir los logros de nuestros esperados School-Wide Resultados de Aprendizaje basado en una matriz de valoración de las pruebas. Es un metoda centrado en el estudiante. Para que un estudiante califica para regresar a su escuela de residencia que deben alcanzar todos School-Wide Resultados de aprendizaje esperados y alcanzar un mfnimo de estado de nivel 2. Las siguientes expectativas apoyaran cada estudiante a alcanzar este objetivo.

  • Tendra una buena asistencia.
  • No llevar a los marcadores de Ia escuela I sharpies, sombreros, pañuelos, gorros, mochilas y carteras
  • No traiga un telefono celular u otro dispositive electrónico. Si tengo que llevar uno, sera apagada en
  • todo momenta y no es visible en el campus .
  • mantendra un expediente de disciplina limpia (sin referencias o suspensiones) y nose involucrara en
  • ninguna conducta que pueda resultar en Ia remisión o Ia suspension de cualquier otro estudiante.
  • ¿ No se involucre en cualquier caso de intimidación y I o altercados verbales I fisicas.
  • No exponer el comportamiento desafiante y I o perjudiciales en el aula . No interrumpa las actividades
  • escolares o deliberadamente desafiar Ia autoridad o personal escolar.
  • No cometer un acto obsceno y I o gestos y I o participar en aetas habituates de profanidad y I o
  • vulgaridad ffsica I verbal.
  • ¿ acatar el código de vestuario de Ia escuela.
  • No utilice lenguaje soez en el aula o en cualquier Iugar en el campus.
  • Nose vendera, distribuira, usa y I o estar en posesión de una sustancia controlada en Ia escuela el dfa
  • de Ia Comunidad.
  • No poseer, vender o proporcionar un arma de fuego, cuchillo, explosive, u otro objeto peligroso .
  • No poseer un arma de fuego de imitación, cuchillo, explosive, u otro objeto peligroso . Un " arma de
  • imitación" significa una replica que es tan similar en sus propiedades ffsicas a un arma real que da a una
  • persona razonable a concluir que Ia replica es un arma.
  • Seran objeto de un registro cuando exista una causa razonable .

Cualquier violación del Código de Educación 48900 se traducira en una o mas de los siguientes :

  • Llamada de telefono y I o conferencia con el padre I tutor I Probation
  • Ajuste del nivel de comportamiento
  • lnicio Suspension
  • Contacto con Ia Policfa
  • Remisión al acceso
